For all of you who are struggling from one issue of relationship to another with your boyfriend or your husband… These scriptures set me free from bondage and I’d love to share it with usI encountered these set of scriptures some time, about 3years ago… And it gave me insight into certain things…I believe we all know the story of the garden and how Eve ate the fruit etc…So There’s a statement God made when he cursed Eve that i found to be very interesting…He said in Gen 3:16
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.”
When i chanced on this i read it Over and over again, trying to understand what God had meant by that.Now thinking about it again this morning i realized that in the garden it seemed like Eve was an independent woman going around to inspect her husband’s property, but she had the perogative of taking decisions for herself.
She was a free woman… To the extent that she could relate with the serpent without any form of fear.Now at this point, with all the freedom she had, she desired to be like God… And I’ve always wondered What would the world have looked like now, if Eve had said… “let me not be like God, LET ME BE A WOMAN, exactly what he created me to be…”But unfortunately she said otherwise… And then God, while placing the curse (the limitation /the burden) over the woman said,
you shall have sorrow in conception
and that was not even the difficult part… Then he went ahead to say
“and thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee”…
I wonder, How is your desire towards your husband a curse? How is he ruling over you a curse…?Now i thought about this and here’s the inspiration i got.In the beginning God desired that man and woman be one before him, none greater, none lesser… But because the woman failed to keep her estate… She became “subject” to the man, because she proved to be a weaker vessel. God desired that they both stand side by side in serving him and taking care of the earth which he had given them…This is the Truth; In the creation of God the Man is the chiefest of the creation and the woman is his helper… These are definitions of roles not societal statuses… A woman should not think less of herself because she was brought in to help neither should a man think less of a woman because she is his key to an easier and successful life.Now after all this had happened… The woman “lost” her freedom… Now she was to Be submitted to this man in a way that was not before… However in the book of Isaiah God writes a letter to the woman… And he said :Isaiah 54…
Dear Woman
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee,saith the LORD thy Redeemer.9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
A very interesting letter don’t you think… You can read it over and over till it sinks in… And the part that broke my chains was verse 5 i think… He says
“thy maker is thine husband, the Lord is his name.”
In the curse he said
thy desire shall be unto thy husband…
Pondering over this scripture i thought to shift perspectives… So that instead of first seeing a man as my husband i saw the Lord as my husband, so that my desire will be towards the Lord…(David said it is better to fall in the hands of the Lord than to fall in the hands of man, for there is mercy with God. 2Sam 24:14)… And i will desire to do his will; to be a woman, so that the serpent does not have an advantage over me…. And then when i am settled in the Lord and his desires i can competently be a woman to the man he pleases to give me to.The bible says that after “he made the woman he brought her to the man… ” Gen 2:22)Now remember that when your desires are unto your husband; the Lord God, you are married to the lord and you are under his rulership. And The rule of the Lord says that(within the context of marriage) the woman is to be a helper to the man not a slave, should be a helper not a commander, should be a helper not his mother, should be a helper not his director, and in that is your true freedom as a woman… However as you walk in freedom remeber to bind the law of the Lord unto your heart so that the serpent doesn’t come again trying to beguile you.The reason why many women today struggle with loving freely without being enslaved or being in abusive relationships etc. Is because your desire is still towards the man first, and when i say your desire should be towards God it does not mean you will not love your husband… It means that you will not be enslaved by that love, you will love him from a place of freedom in God and i tell you that kind of love is the cure to the endless insecurities, hurts and suspicions women suffer in these relationships. You will only move from one relationship to the other endlessly because you think finding a man will solve your problems… It doesn’t!
Finding God will give you the right perspective and peace enough to be with a man(Those creatures can be a handful😬😆).Most often women are desperately looking for partners whom they can’t seem to find. They get all worked up trying all kinds of measures… But usually it is when you give up finding a man and start to focus on finding God and finding yourself in God, that out of nowhere one fine gentleman walks up your door… But around this time God has prepared you and shown you your real value and you are at home with being yourself, A Woman … so u know to whom to say yes and to whom to say no(every woman knows the man she wants, if she’s confused he’s probably not the one).Now as the wife of the Lord, he has given you to be with a man… If you don’t agree with anything… The bible says in Proverbs 21:1″The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.”Don’t be afraid to be coupled with any man if he is a King (we’ll talk about that later)… His heart is in the hands of God… It is God that controls him… If you want to effect any changes go to God… Go to your husband, the Lord…. Do what Esther Did to save her people… They went to God and God gave her favor before the king😊…And if i don’t fear to say… Like my father Pastor Obed does.. Any movement that insists on a woman being anything else than what she was made to be is devilish and a fruit of the serpent’s work. And any love that makes you subservient or enslaves you is not healthy for you. You can totally be in love with butterflies and all and still walk in freedom, you’d only need a simple decision and the help of the holy Ghost to shift perspectives.I could go on and on… But I’ll drop This here and pick it up another day… Till then… Let your desires be towards your maker, The Lord and breakfree in your spirit from the oppression of the fallen woman!Be a woman… The best ever version the world has ever seen.Sending you light☀️ and love💖…Zoe
