Occupy till i come

“He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Jesus told a parable of how the kingdom of God was. He said of the kingdom that its noble man went to receive a kingdom and this noble man was Jesus himself…

He said…

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Just like the Noble man, Jesus was also going to receive a kingdom and prepare for us in that kingdom a place to reign with him as his bride. And Just as the Noble man, Jesus also instructed the disciples, which we are, to work… He left us work to do of which accounts will be taken on his return…

Occupy till I come!

It is a great instruction! And for the noble man he was certain that whiles he was with his servants he had invested enough knowledge and business know how for the people to make profit whiles he was away…

JESUS, likewise had been with the disciples three and half years and for the investment made in those 3. 5 years we have been labouring for over 2000years after he left. That is a great investment.

Now Paul makes an interesting comparison which i would now, like to draw into this light..

He said… In Ephesians 5….

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Paul in these verses states clearly how the relationship between the husband and the wife is directly parallel to the relationship between Christ and his church. And just as Christ is the head of the church so is the man the head of his wife.

Now my point here is this… For many a woman it is unfair treatment if a man has been out working late or traveling on business, especially when we feel like he is not giving us attention. Ryt??

The complaints are endless, “he’s never home, he’s always working” etc etc.

At a point in my life i felt this was ohkay, for a woman to complain when she wasn’t getting attention, you know… But after a while i wondered to myself “why sit around waiting when i could get busy with something at least just to take my mind of the fact that he’s not showing up any time soon and yes for a worthy cause”.

Doesn’t it look exactly like when believers sit around predicting when Jesus will come back and getting ensnared in false predictions when actually they are supposed to “OCCUPY TILL THE LORD COMES? “.

So i got busy and i realized it wasn’t so difficult waiting when you actually had stuff to do… Especially stuff you loved to do. Now this was what cemented it for me and i thought “whaaat! The world needs to hear this and women need to stop complaining”

One day at church Pastor shared this wisdom and with these scriptures (above). The man is out hunting, waging war against forces to secure a kingdom, last thing he wants to come back home to is a woman who nags him about how long he stayed out there and asks silly questions. He’s probably worn out and beaten and would appreciate if a sister could make him feel like a king again Pampered and in authority!

Dear good woman, if you are blessed to be married to a noble man then certainly he will be going out there to receive a kingdom, when he’s out there working he’s building a kingdom and preparing a place for you to come reign with him… I believe that perspective is everything. If you look at it this way its easier. If he is preparing a kingdom for you to reign with him why dont you as a profitable servant prepare yourself to reign over ten cities by being efficient with the 5talents you have been given.

As a woman you need to be occupied with

1. The vision that your lord cast for you…

It could be his dream of what he feels the future looks like for you, a project, a mandate, a life long assignment. Usually the vision is very big and you need to take some time to prepare for it. Earn some money, acquire new knowledge or Else by the time he arrives you have become unprofitable and have no contribution to make towards the vision.

2. Preparing Yourself

In the book of the revelation of Jesus the Bible talks about the new Jerusalem coming out of heaven as a bride adorned for her husband. How do you adorn yourself when your lord is away? . This is the time to invest in yourself, learn new cuisine , better ways of doing things, just being beautiful and softspoken that your Lord might find delight in you when he arrives.

In the Parable of the 10 virgins… While they all waited they fell asleep and burned out their oil… For the wise 5 they knew the night was long and made plans and arrangements for extra oil. Dear Good woman have you counted the cost. Before he was gone he probably did not say how long he was going to be gone or he stayed longer than intended… What will u do with the extra time?!

Now this is the part that excites me…

Before Jesus left… He did not leave us alone… He left us the comforter… The Holy Ghost to help us, be our friend, our guide, teacher and all that we would have needed in Jesus.

He said in John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Dear Good woman, the Holy ghost is not a” force” or just a wind. He’s a person that you can relate with. Instead of having endless non profit chatter with the girls, talk to the Holy Ghost make him your best friend. And let him be your first point of call when you feel anything is wrong and he will give you Peace, that which only He can give. When you are worried or troubled the Holy Ghost is there to comfort you and help you through the hard times so reach out to him.
I know its tough when he’s a king and all the maidens seem to want him but no queen engages battles with maidens…

You enter your secret place and let the Holy Ghost handle his heart and when you come out, look good, smell good and just do good!

Remember the heart of the King is in the hand of God and he turns it wherever he desires. Your relationship with the Holy Ghost is truly your secret weapon. Hold on to it… It will mean everything one of these days…

Dear Good woman, you can make it… I know you can… When you feel like complaining for attention just remind yourself, He will come back! He certainly will but whiles he is away… OCCUPY TILL HE COMES! ”

NOTE TO THE NOBLE MAN

Dear Noble Man, please do not forget to give us the talent before you go. For where there is no vision the people perish. If the woman is supposed to be subject to you and you leave her with no vision to pursue then you have not fulfilled your role as the head. Every woman is a reflection of the wisdom of the husband and so it behoves on u to make that investment of wisdom so that she can multiply it for you.

Do not give zero talent and expect fruits when you return. We know you are a Noble Man please live up to your name.

We love you, From the United States of Good women.πŸ‘ΈπŸ½πŸ‘ΈπŸ»πŸ€±
