Your mind is your garden! Your thoughts are the seeds!

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Philippians 4:8 KJV

Its interesting that Paul will say this in a letter to the church of the Philipians and here’s why. Your mind is the garden where all seeds grow. Your thoughts, opinions and concepts are all seeds in the garden of your mind. If you want to have a beautiful garden, you have to take care of these things regularly or even daily.

The seeds from which beautiful flowers will grow are the thoughts that bring positivity into your life. The right seeds are tender thoughts of sharing, connecting and loving yourself, people, nature and the world around you.

Potential ideas are in your mind. By releasing and developing these ideas you can solve your financial problem, your business situation, you can care for yourself and your family, and attain success in all you do.

As a survival mechanism, we are programmed to think negatively. Looking for the negatives allows us to be aware of potential dangers around us. You realize that some of your biggest victories came after you attacked some negative phase with a positive energy. The presence of life suggests an upward and downward oscillating movement, so the best thing you can do is to not respond to negativity with negativity.

If you find it hard to see the positives in life, it will be hard to find and sustain happiness. Bad thoughts are like junk food. Junk food is unhealthy, and so are bad thoughts. They have no value for your mind, body, spirit or life. Therefore, you shouldn’t waste your time digesting these thoughts.

The Author of the Power of positive thinking Norman Vincent Peale said, “The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Fill your life with love. Scatter sunshine. Forget self, think of others. Do as you would be done by. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.”

Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. A sense of inferiority and inadequacy always interferes with the attainment of your hopes, but self-confidence leads to self-realisation and successful achievement.

If you notice one negative thought, force yourself to counter it with two positive ones. Over time, you’ll start to override the negative voice in your mind. All it takes is practice!

• I am in charge of my thoughts, and I don’t judge myself.

• I accept and love myself, wholly and thoroughly.

• I choose only to think good thoughts.

The secret of a better and more successful life is to cast out those old, dead, unhealthy thoughts. Substitute for them new vital, dynamic faith thoughts. You can depend upon it—an inflow of new thought will remake you and your life.
