Where is Your Heart Series – Ep 1

Where is Your Heart Queen? ❤️

Have you ever fallen newly in love? In the early part of a relationship—the falling in love stage—the other person is the center of your life. You forgive everything in these early stages. The other person has faults, and you see them, but it doesn’t matter. Maybe they leave their dirty dishes in the sink, but they make you laugh at least daily, so it’s okay. Good things outweigh the negative here. You are completely here to stay and nothing seems strong enough to deter you.

Until one day, your heart simply isn’t as present anymore. All their faults now staring at you in the face. Forgiveness is harder than it used to be and you’re just not as excited about it as you used to be.

Same for a passion, a love for something like music or sports that you’re keen on pursuing. In the initial stages you would do anything to satisfy that passion, never miss a game, always at rehearsals; your heart is in it! Until one day you’re simply not as keen.

“Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your passion (heart) and prayer and intelligence.’ This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: ‘Love others as well as you love yourself.’ These two commands are pegs; everything in God’s Law and the Prophets hangs from them.””

Matthew 22:37-40 MSG

The heart is the seat of your passion and the place of your trust. God wants your heart, because he knows if He has your heart he has you! A person’s heart could leave a relationship long before they physically do. You could be a Christian and your heart’s not in it, you could be in a church and your heart’s not in it. You could be in a marriage but your heart’s not in it! We want to keep our hearts in our lives with Jesus.

When your heart is in God, He’s naturally your priority, you don’t have to make Him! You worship without being asked. You walk with Him in a state of “I want to” and not “I have to”. Imagine having a heart that is so synchronized with God’s will that you want the things that God wants for you! Everything you do stems from your heart.

That’s the Kind of life David lived, a life that simply wanted more of God everyday than the day before. Where God is the most important subject. At this point even when you struggle with the will of God, your heart eventually gives in to God because you’re in a state of trust! You believe that God knows best.

My Question to you Queen today is, where is your heart?

You could take stock of your life and rate on a scale of 1-10 what are the things that excite you the most, and you’ll find that, the thing that easily gets your attention without asking is the thing that has your heart!

For the last time… where is your heart?
