Many times, our foresight is inadequately woeful. Of course we see and prophesy in part, as Paul declares. But then, the moment we take time in retrospection, the picture seems to come out clearer. At that point, we tend to appreciate all the ‘bad and good’ events, circumstances, and times. We end up becoming grateful because all the experiences made us who are.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
Let’s look at Joseph. In hindsight, we come to accept that all he went through was to bring him to a place where he was well resourced and having some kind of power to be able to offer help in its best form. I believe that at the point that he started to have dreams, he sought understanding from God. He got hate for these dreams but Ultimately, this process brought him to appreciate them and also enabled him to rightly interpret dreams. The key here was his dreams.
His dreams were the very reason that his brothers sought to kill him and the reason he got access into a place of authority and power. Should he have hated that he had those dreams? Should he have hated the process it took him through?
Beloved, all things are working for your good. Yes, the situation may look terrible and very unpleasant; it is easy to start questioning ‘why me?’, and it is very understandable. However, I want you to believe with all your heart that God really is the one steering your life.
Settle it in your heart that God has good thoughts for you. Settle it in your heart that if per chance you stray away, by His strong and mighty hand and His fierce winds, He will push you back on track.
Out of that very bad situation, God is raising you, as a voice for many nations to come.
