It’s a very common thing to want your ig post to get 3,500likes and 5000shares and get 20,000followers. It’s normal to want to smash it at your work place to be the worker of the year and want to get the best wife of the year award etc etc.
It’s called acceptance! We are rewarded for the good things we do and reprimanded for not being enough, and once we have enough rewards we are liked and accepted by society.
Its great. but the question is ; How far are you willing to go to get acceptance?
“And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:2 ASV
Most of us are down and depressed because we cannot seem to do enough to gain enough acceptance and sometimes we end up violating our personal values just to get this.
The scripture for today enjoins us to not follow the world’s standards just to find acceptance but be focused on fulfilling the will of God, that the only one we need acceptance from is God. He’s the one who made us and the one whose likes we should be pursuing.
The interesting thing however is that we already have his acceptance, and so we just need to stand in the power that he has given each of us and bless our world with it with a heart of gratitude!
