PATIENCE IN THE LORD

In our everyday lives, there is always something we hope for. Either things from people to us or from us to other people.
Even before tomorrow comes, we hope of its packages and opportunities.
No one thinks about the future without hope.
The activity that occurs as we hope for whatever it is and whenever it should happen is called waiting. As we hope, we wait for whatever we hope for, to come to pass or come to us.

“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”

Romans 8:25 (NIV)

In Christ, one common practice among believers is hoping which comes with waiting. We hope for Christ’s second coming and as such, wait for that day. We hope for the promise of eternal life hence, wait until physical death to experience it. We wait for our coronation and the opportunity to reign and rule with Christ therefore, wait for that day to come. On this basis, we practise patience without knowing that we do.

Countlessly, we have visions, receive prophecies, and have dreams which do not come to pass instantly. We hope that they come to pass and as so, wait for them to come to pass. This is patience.

Without patience, no one can be a believer because the hope we share is held by patience. The day we become impatient, we will either go ahead of God or denounce Him because we think He is a liar. Our faith requires a lot of patience.

If we trust humans enough to patiently wait for them to fulfill their promises to us, how much more God? He is not a man to lie to us. He does not fail or forget what He says or promises us. If only we will be patient and wait on Him, we will surely see and receive what He has in store for us.

May we obtain grace and strength to continually wait and hold unto the hope that we share in Christ Jesus. AMEN!

Shalom❤️
